Dr. Helen Douglas's two books, Horse of a Lifetime and William's Gift, will be available at the Can-Am Equine Emporium in the Western Fair District Agriplex Building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Helen was born in Nova Scotia, but has lived most of her life in the Ottawa Valley. She began riding horses in 1965. Her love of horses has taken her across Canada, the United States, South America and Ireland. Her book Horse of a Lifetime examines the complex and emotional relationship between people and horses.
