First Toronto Post Office

This heritage site has two names: First Toronto Post Office and the Fourth York Post Office. Construction of this heritage site began in 1833 - before York became The City of Toronto - and was the fourth official post office for the region. It became the first post office to service the newly incorporated Toronto. Designated a National Historic Site of Canada, the building still functions as a fully operational post office, and also as a museum.
