Riverboat Coffee House - Plaque

Books one book

All that remains of the legendary Riverboat Coffee House is a commemorative plaque on Yorkville Ave. Located in the basement of a Victorian row home, the place was a hub of bohemian culture and music in the 1960's, hosting greats like Joni Mitchell, Bruce Cockburn, Gordon Lightfoot and more. The Riverboat Coffee House outlasted Yorkville's hippie movement, but not its multi-million dollar makeover in the 70's. After changing hands, it finally closed its doors in 1979.
