Spadina Museum: Historic House and Gardens

Home of James Austin - found of The Dominion Bank and Consumer Gas - Toronto's Spadina House is the only museum to represent the 20's and 30's. Spadina Museum exhibits architecture coversing a span from the 1860's - 1930's: Victorian, Edwardian, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and Colonial Revival. It was lived in until 1982, then opened as a museum in 1984 with the help of the Ontario Heritage Foundation. After a brief closure in 2010 for further restoration, Spadina Museum once again reopened. The property is especially known for its beautiful gardens.
