Julie Bruck's award-winning collection Monkey Ranch (Brick Books) was 13 years in the making, but it was well worth the wait. These are poems that bring a devastating, beautiful world into momentary focus. Already the winner of this year's Governor General's Literary Award for poetry, Monkey Ranch was recently chosen as one of only two poetry books to make the Globe and Mail's top 100 books of 2012.
The CBC's Michael Enright recently interviewed Julie on The Sunday Edition. Click here to listen. You can hear Julie reading poems from Monkey Ranch at AudioBoo.
Julie and the other Governor General's Literary Award winners will be honoured at a celebration at Rideau Hall this Wednesday, November 28.
