The Book Lover’s Ball and Benefit is a black tie fundraiser gala where Uxbridge’s literary-minded citizens come together to support the public library.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on fabulous prizes in a silent auction. Money from the auction supports the Library’s expansion fund.

Uxbridge Reads and Canada Reads winner, Terry Fallis, is the guest author.

Terry's first book, The Best Laid Plans, began as a podcast. It won the Stephen Leacock Award for Humour, was re-published by McClelland & Stewart and was the winner of CBC’s Canada Reads competition in 2011.

The event also includes hors d’oeuvres, a three-course dinner and dancing.

The gala takes place at the Wooden Sticks Golf Course on Saturday, April 14th, 2012. For more information, contact the Uxbridge Public Library.
