The Canadian Poetry Audio Archives is Canada?s first online bilingual poetry audio archive. With the financial support of the Department of Canadian Heritage, the website includes digitized samples of some of Canada?s best poets reading from their own works. There are also rare archival photographs, documents and transcripts of Canadian poetry on the website. With their main goal being to connect students, teachers and literary enthusiasts with the country?s literary heritage, they hope to ?educate and inspire a new generation of Canadian writers and readers.?
The
Poetry Post series is written and organized by
Megan Philipp, Open Book: Ontario's Editorial Intern. Having completed the Publishing Certificate Program at Ryerson University, she is pursuing a career in publishing. She also writes and edits for
The Mindful Word, an online magazine focused on mindfulness and engaged living.
In celebration of National Poetry Month, Open Book: Ontario will be posting a Poetry Post each week day. Do you have a poetry-related link that you think we should know about? Please send it to [email protected].
