The debut Cardinal book, Forty Words for Sorrow, won the British Crime Writers’ Macallan Silver Dagger, and the second book in the series, 2003′s The Delicate Storm, won the Arthur Ellis Award for Best Novel. Blunt has been longlisted twice for the Dublin IMPAC award.
