Save on Margaret Atwood Titles at Chapters/Indigo

With Margaret Atwood and the Toronto Public Library in the news all week, Indigo Books & Music Inc. is offering 30 percent off Atwood titles across the country when you show your Canadian library card. The discount runs until the end of the month.

Last week on Twitter, Atwood retweeted a link to an online petition against Rob Ford's proposal to cut Toronto libraries. She also tweeted "Twin Fordmayor seems to think those who eat Timbits (like me) don't read, can't count, & are stupid eh?" after Councillor Doug Ford said in a radio interview that Etobicoke North had more libraries than it did Tim Hortons. When reporters ask Doug Ford for comment, he replied, "I don’t even know her. If she walked by me, I wouldn’t have a clue who she is."

Ford has since tried to clarify this comment, saying that he actually does know who is she and that she is a "great writer."

In support of Atwood, readers can now enjoy discounts on great titles like The Handmaid's Tale, The Year Of The Flood and The Penelopiad, among others at Chapters, Indigo, the World's Biggest Bookstore and Coles.
