Seven Canadian Titles Nominated for Lambda Literary Awards

Seven Canadian authors are nominated for the 24th annual Lambda Literary Award. This year, 119 titles were selected for the award’s 24 categories. There were over 600 submissions from 250 publishers.

Lesbian General Fiction: Kristyn Dunnion for The Dirt Chronicles (Arsenal Pulp Press) and Farzana Doctor for Six Metres of Pavement (Dundurn Press).

Lesbian Memoir and Biography: Karleen Pendleton Jiménez for How to Get a Girl Pregnant (Tightrope Books) and Jane Rule for Taking My Life (Talonbooks).

Gay Mystery: Garry Ryan for Malabarista (NeWest Press).

LGBT Anthology: Ivan E. Coyote and Zena Sharman for Persistence: All Ways Butch and Femme (Arsenal Pulp).

Bisexual Fiction: J.M. Frey for Triptych (Dragon Moon Press).
