An update of the interviews and features on Open Book: Toronto.

Ariel Gordon is the author of the poetry collection Hump (Palimpsest Press, 2010), for which she was awarded the 2011 Aqua Books Lansdowne Prize for Poetry / Le Prix Lansdowne du poesie. Her chapbook How to Prepare for Flooding (JackPine Press), a collaboration with designer Julia Michaud, will be launched in this fall. She shares with Open Book readers her poem, “How to Write a Poem.” It can be read here.

The Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) held a lively lunch celebrating Ontario publishers and authors, in partnership with the IV (International Visitors) Program at Toronto's International Festival of Authors (IFOA). Photos from the event can be seen here.

As a part of Open Book's interview series with the Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize for Nonfiction nominees, OBT interviews Grant Lawrence, author of Adventures in Solitude: What Not to Wear to a Nude Potluck and Other Stories from Desolation Sound (Harbour Publishing).
