This is a picture of Michael Ondaatje's poetry collection, "Rat Jelly", which was published by Coach House in 1973. When Stan Bevington started Coach House up in the late '60s, the first thing he printed to generate money in order to print Canadian poetry and fiction was Canadian flags. This allowed him to publish early books from people like Michael Ondaatje, Anne Michaels, Paul Quarrington and bpNichol, among others. This book is taken from the archive wall. Evan said: "We try to hold on to at least one or two copies of every book published under the Coach House banner throughout the years."
