Opening its doors in 1994, the Orbit Room is decorated in the style of a 1950s New York cocktail lounge. It plays a variety of music, such as alternative, blues, soul, rock, and reggae, but most notably, funk, jazz, R&B. The original house band, The Dexters, for example, used to play R&B from Thursday to Saturday. The Orbit Room is one of Little Italy's best kept secrets.
