Toronto's second bookmark, this is the unveiling of Ken Babstock's poem, "Essentialist", from his poetry collection Airstream Land Yacht. The plaque is on St. George Street north of Bloor Street, right across from the St. George subway station. In the poem, the character sees a cadet on the subway reading Henry Thoreau's classic novel, Walden. This area is also home to the University of Toronto and museums, such as the ROM, the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art and the Bata Shoe Museum.
