Neil Boyd

Neil Boyd is the Director of the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University. He teaches courses related to law, crime and criminal justice policy, and is also a frequent commentator in the national media on matters of crime and law. He has worked on a wide variety of research projects and has written numerous books for both national and international markets. His books include A Thousand Dreams, co-authored with former Vancouver mayor Senator Larry Campbell and Vancouver Sun writer Lori Culbert, which explores the social history and current realities of Vancouver's Downtown East Side, and was shortlisted for the Roderick Haig Brown Prize, the Donner Prize, and the Ryga Award.
