CAA Meeting: Writing for Kids & teens with Gwen Smid

The Canadian Authors Association (CAA), National Capital Region Branch (NCR) welcomes guest speaker, Gwen Smid to its monthly meeting.

BIO:

An interactive and friendly presenter, Gwen Smid promises that participants in her presentations will walk away with oodles of material. In addition to writing the Mary's Atlas picture book series, which consistently ranked on McNally Robinson's best-selling list on their release, she has also been published in sources such as The Globe and Mail and a variety of teaching journals.

Gwen draws her inspiration for the Mary's Atlas series through her adventures zipping and zooming across Canada. Whether touring in drama ensembles or through nomadic summers living in tents, Gwen finds stories wherever she goes.
The Mary's Atlas series was lauded by Canadian Review of Materials as "a great tale of magic, adventure, exploration and learning!"
