Winners of the Trillium Book Award Announced!

Congratulations to Phil Hall, Nick Thran, Michèle Vinet and Sonia Lamontagne, winners of the 2012 Trillium Book Award! The winners were announced Wednesday night at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon in Toronto.

Phil Hall won the Trillium Book Award (English) for Killdeer (BookThug), a book that won the Governor General's Award for Poetry and was nominated for the Griffin Poetry Prize. Michèle Vinet was awarded the Trillium Book Award (French) for her novel Jeudi Novembre (Éditions Prise de parole).

Nick Thran took home the Trillium Book Award for Poetry (English) for his collection Earworm (Nightwood Editions). Sonia Lamontagne won the Trillium Book Award for Poetry (French) for À tire d?ailes (Éditions Prise de parole).

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Trillium Book Award. Honouring these fine writers is a great way to celebrate!
