The unveiling ceremony, which was held at 12:30pm on September 23, 2010, began with an introduction from the Executive Director of Project Bookmark, Miranda Hill: ?We?re here to celebrate Bronwen Wallace, the late Kingston writer so influential in this community...we are going to celebrate her through her poem ?Mexican Sunsets?...we?re going to celebrate her sense of this place where we are standing right now.?
