Phil Hall

Phil Hall’s first Brick Book was Why I Haven’t Written (1985). His fifth,Trouble Sleeping, was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award in 2001. With An Oak Hunch, his sixth Brick Book and ninth altogether, we proudly celebrate twenty years of association. Hall holds an M.A. in creative writing from The University of Windsor. He has been the literary editor of This Magazine and is editor and publisher of Flat Singles Press. He teaches poetry at George Brown College and English at Seneca College, both in Toronto, and has been an instructor at Sage Hill Writing Experience in Saskatchewan.
