Tom Sharp

Tom Sharp came from England to live with the Williamsons in Canada. He was raised in this family, and had a civil career in trade policy. In 1987, he was awarded the Commander of the British Empire, and was elected local councillor in Surrey. He also became the governor of two local schools and a citizens' advice bureau member. Although more of a civil servant than a writer, his introduction within Just a Larger Family provides detail into his emigration and life from England to Canada.
