Jean Cochrane

Jean Cochrane was a journalist for a large part of her life, and she settled in the Beach in 1972 where she immediately became active in the community. She aided in the completion of recorded oral histories, as well as working tirelessly on the Board of Directors of Neighbourhood Link Support Services. She won the 2009 Beach Citizen of the Year and her third book, Kensington, was shortlisted for the Heritage Toronto Book Awards in 2000.
